This morning I made Pumpkin French Toast! It turned out AMAZING and the kitchen smelled heavenly! I started with my basic French Toast Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 14-16 slices of bread
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- splash of vanilla
- heavy pinch of cinnamon
For Pumpkin French Toast I added these additional ingredients:
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- heavy pinch of ginger
- heavy pinch of nutmeg
- 1 cup pumpkin puree ( fresh or canned will work!)
Directions:
- Mix together all ingredients

- Dip bread into mixture until well coated and place in hot skillet or on a hot griddle
- Allow one side to cook ( about 4-5 minutes) then flip over and cook other side.

- Cook until golden brown on both sides!
- Serve with whipped cream, syrup, powder sugar, or fresh fruit!

To Freeze:
- Place cooked Pumpkin French Toast on a baking sheet ( do not stack on top of each other!)
- Place baking sheet in freezer for 4-6 hours until bread is frozen

- Once frozen, place bread in a freezer bag. Put frozen Pumpkin French Toast in the toaster and lightly toast to serve after freezing!
