Not only can the Bundle of Joy Carrier be used with a newborn/infant, it can be used all the way up to 45 lbs! This is carrier can be used well up to the toddler years! In fact my three year old still fits in it perfectly at 34 pounds!!
Over the weekend we were at an event that had long hours. Up early, in bed late, and not much time for naps. Ian ( 3 years old!) was a champ, but would get tired on and off during the day. With myself being 26 weeks pregnant holding him for long periods of time just isn’t able to happen. My husband was busy on and off with the event and needed to be hands free. Dan was able to wear Ian on his back! Ian was happy that he didn’t have to walk and we knew right where he was!
What I love the most about the Ergo is that it is not just another baby carrier! It is Ergonomically correct. Your child is worn in a squat seated position. This helps to support baby’s hips and pelvis. This is so important as your child is growing!!
The Ergo that we have is the Bundle of Joy – Original Black/Camel with Camel Insert. The insert is used with babies up to 4-5 months old. Since my bundle of joy will not be arriving until December, I will be posting a second review around the beginning of January!
My husband is 6’6″. He has tried a few other baby carriers and hasn’t liked them for various reasons! Mainly they do not fit him well ( or he thinks they look girly!!) He told me after the weekend of him wearing Ian that this is the nicest carrier he has ever tried and that it is the only one that has fit him correctly allowing him to baby wear and not be in pain!
I was very excited about his opinion on the Ergo! I really think going from two kids to three that we are going to need to be wearing one in order to go out with the kids by ourselves! I mean less face it, very soon we will be out numbered!
I love that the ergo is easy to fold and can stuck in the diaper bag or a back pack. It never fails when I take the kids to the zoo ( or any place with lots of walking!) my youngest will poop out at the farthest from the car spot that he possible can!! It is nice just to be able to pull the ergo out, load him up and head back to the car without feeling exhausted from carrying him when we get there!
