Farro is an ancient whole grain. It was originally found in the Middle East, but is now found mostly in Italy. Farro just recently began to become popular agin. It is extremely easy to prepare and is a great source of fiber, protein, and iron! Farro is also my absolute FAVORITE whole grain!!
I personally discovered this whole grain about 8 months ago. Since then I have began using it in place of rice! The easiest way I have found to prepare Farro is in my rice cooker and it is done in 20 minutes or less depending on how much I am cooking!!
