The final straw was this morning when my 5 year old woke up to tell me there were crumbs in his bed and that he wanted his blanky washed. Later in the morning I walked in their room to get clothes for them for the day and discovered it wasn’t crumbs in the bed, but he had vomited in his sleep!
After seeing this and talking to my husband we decided EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY we will be returning to our normal way of eating! I am going back to being the typical “food wench” in my house and I will check everything coming through the door being brought by ourselves or from others!
I am not dead set on every food has to be certified organic. But the food my kids will eat will NOT contain:
- High Fructose Corn Syrup
- artificial sweeteners
- Any form of dyes what so ever
- Hydrogenated Oils
- Will NOT come from a fast food restaurant
As I look back at what the kids have been eating for the last 3 months I see a ton of behavioral issues explained! I see why the kids are wanting to eat all the time, they are only eating junk and it does not fill them up!! I see why they are waking up so grumpy and mad, their bodies are not getting what they need!! I see why they have had attitudes ( that we were blaming on their ages!!), there bodies need much better food then what we have been giving them!

I am still sitting here at my table wanting to kick myself for letting this happen!! I AM IN SCHOOL FOR HOLISTIC NUTRITION!!! Basically I posted this today to show everyone is not perfect and does fall off the wagon… but I will state this now….
