The third ingredient that my family cut out of our diets was partially hydrogenated oils.  If I see the word hydrogenated on any ingredient list i will immediately place the item back on the self!! Partially hydrogenated oils are used to extend the shelf life of a product.  All the information that I had seen basically told me that the products that needed their shelf life extended…. we did not need to eat!

The first three ingredients we cut from our diet were High Fructose Corn Syrup, Artificial Sweeteners, and Partially Hydrogenated Oils. We cut these ingredients out over a course of a few months.  We made several large donations to the local food bank.  It is amazing that we felt so much better by not eating these foods and we even lost a few pounds in the process!

Baby steps is all that it takes to eat healthier.  Nothing has to happen over night!  Remember it only takes 30 days to make a change a habit!!
